The Theta X1G card efficiently delivers and classifies packets in hardware to assist the host application (i.e. MSP System) by removing common software bottlenecks associated with packet and flow analysis. This approach allows to retain the significant amount of effort already invested in Layer 7 processes. For the most demanding performance conditions, the Theta X1G card provides the ability to accelerate Deep Packet Inspection, or the entire Layer 7 application, directly in the hardware.
The Theta X1G is aimed at fast data delivery for 1 Gbit/s applications requiring advanced time-stamping both no filtering. The Theta X1G capture card has two ports configurable as either 2 electrical or 2 optical.
By minimizing the number of CPU interrupts, and optimizing the bandwidth capacity of the PCI-X bus, Theta X1G card performs 100% line rate packet delivery and hardware time stamp, with virtually no CPU utilization.
Theta X1G card is packaged in a half-length PCI form factor which is ideal for use in 1 U servers.
