MSP System

MSP (Modular Service Platform)

The MSP system is the most advanced subscriber and application centric management system available on the market today. MSP is an offline 24x7 near real-time monitoring and analysis platform dedicated to data traffic optimization, subscriber QoE management, service level assurance (SLA), marketing data mining and security control.

MSP’s DPI engine provides massive statistical analysis of mobile data services (HTTP, DNS, WAP, MMS …), E2E network elements (every subscriber session, radio information, network core nodes, routers & firewalls, WAP & MMS Gateways, content providers, …) and mobile security threats (MMS Viruses). All of this information is combined and stored in a database to create some incredibly powerful reports & KPIs from data buried in data flows. This statistical information enables operators to pin-point problems in real-time and drill-down to the root-cause in just a few clicks.

Today, operators want to automate their subscribers QoE control because the process requires vast amounts of resources and time when performed manually. In addition, one must take into account the difficulty of determining the root cause of problems while navigating through the various interdependent factors that impact subscriber QoE. 

To address this need, MSP provides real-time 24x7 statistical analysis, with some specifically designed reports that trigger alarms in case anything get abnormal in the network from an E2E perspective.

Web Modules for non-technical users

The advantage of embedding a database is the ability for external applications to query them remotely. Theta Networks has developed a complete range of web-based external modules that non-technical users from different departments can use to extract relevant information.  This allows the MSP System to become a central part of the operator’s general business as various different departments can be gathering vital information from the same source, allowing the MSP System to address multiple important needs. 

For example, the Customer Care Center can instantly retrieve the activity of a specific subscriber and display a user-friendly explanation of the reason behind that subscriber’s problems. Other modules such as VIP Subscriber management or Business Intelligence modules supply information that would not normally be even retrievable.
